Surf ENCL vs. Slammers Koge

To be fair, it would be beneficial to all on this board if you could post a video. If coaches have told you how special she is then it would help all of us know what too level coaches are really looking for when endorsing players. Speaking for myself, it would really help me in seeing what coaches think is special. If she really is at that level then there has to be some game footage somewhere on YouTube, there are cameras at all games these days!

please post, that would be a great resource to reflect on
No video pal. Sorry. If she eventually gets the support she deserves hopefully you can observe her in the near future.

Moreover, you don’t seem to know much about development. Being labeled as a unicorn or phenomenon doesn’t mean a player is perfect or doesn’t make mistakes. It simply means that they have a potentially higher development ceiling if they are exposed to the correct environment. My kid has been deprived of equal support and environment for 3 years and you are trying to put her on blast. I see you player!

Your post puts your ignorance of development on full display for all to see.

Does she have D1 offers anywhere?
No, she’s 13. However, admissions at Stanford has advised her athletic counselor that my player can apply as an independent student so she will have free tuition since she can’t talk with the coach per NCAA rules.

Funny. Film review and tactics for 10-12 year olds.
Funny? Not at all!! I actually thought you were legitimately having a problem with your daughter playing at a high level, and you were actually telling the truth when coaches told you she was good. By that response I know you are full of it!! If she was on a team that was good she would have had a game film between 10 and 12. And you think they shouldn’t be watching film at that age? Are you serious!!! Wonder why you fear your daughter is behind tactically, if she wasn’t taught tactics and shown game film at those early ages she is probably way behind!

Film is an amazing teacher, film doesn’t lie, if nobody is taking film of your daughter then you better start, because you are missing out on a huge part of development and teaching.
Look at all the European clubs, when do you think they start filming? They even film practice sessions. You lost a lot of credibility with me with that response!

I get that film is important. We just need to find a team that can play 2-touch for 90 minutes for the experience to be specific enough to meet our developmental goals.

I don’t see how watching film with players that are uncomfortable on the ball is beneficial.

What are you talking about?
you are trolling so much you forget what you troll about…you brought up Mexico, and how the culture there is not the same…really, thanks for the brilliant insight!

If you are saying the culture isn’t the same in Mexico because they don’t use video, I’m telling you, that you need to look at country’s that produce world class players

Got it. My position is that it is not beneficial to review bad video. Maybe if my player gets the same support as the 2005 player it’ll be worthwhile to record and review the video. Sure hope USSF fixes this soon.

thats actually a good question. I’m not sure you want an answer but I’m going to tell you anyway.

First of all no team plays 2 touch the entire game. The purpose of 2 touch is to be able to get out of situations. That’s were Rondos and quick touches come into play. No need to play two touch soccer when you have no pressure, that doesn’t even make sense. So, you teach tactics to explain when you need to find solutions and play out of situations using 2 touches, but that is just a small part of the game.
The purpose of 2 touch is to teach kids how to find solutions when they are in trouble or are outnumbered. They need to learn tactically how to create numerical advantages and understand what patterns to run when they see situations in front of them on the field

Another bad and not so insightful response. I am here to help so don’t worry. Bad video is actually the best video to review!! You seem intelligent so it’s hard for me to understand why you’d even say that. You have even mentioned failure is part of development.

What better way to explain why they failed than to watch it on film and show them what they could have done to correct it….or better yet, show them the video and ask them what they could have done to correct it…that’s teaching!!!

Tell that to the pros in every league except MLS. Speed of play and 2-touch are synonymous; also a huge factor in determining who has the requisite skill set to play fast and excel professionally.

Are you sure you understand? It kind of felt like you were reading a passage verbatim from coaching for dummies.

No the video isn’t relevant and doesn’t have proper context pal.
