Got Soccer Rankings for Tournaments

Does anyone pay attention to the got soccer tournament rankings anymore ? Seems like many of the tournaments are not on Got Soccer now. How does that work for rankings? Do the teams get any rankings for participating in non got soccer tournaments.

GotSoccer rankings appear to have deteriorated almost entirely post-panini, and just don't represent reality. It also doesn't appear that the GotSoccer rankings are keeping people either in or out of tournaments they are trying to enter either, at least in areas/tournaments I'm familiar with.

Youth Soccer Rankings (YSR) has been rebuilt as an app (SR), and has been steadily improving in features & quality over the past few months. It has been useful in assessing both tournament brackets, and league brackets for relative strengths. Extensive thread on rankings right over here.

Too many leagues now for the ranking to even be relevant. When there were 2-3 league and levels its much easier. Most of the higher level teams just play inside their own leagues.

YSR should be mandated for bracket-making in large tournaments. Surf College Cup last month obviously did not use it or any other ranking format to place teams in each age's multiple brackets. Placement seemed to be political, with many clubs not named Surf put into weird brackets.
