Thanksgiving Tournaments

What happened to Surf Thanksgiving Tournament? I don't think I have ever seen this few teams in the '02 age group before. Are teams moving on to other tournaments or just opting to stay home this year with family?

Surf is a college showcase for the '02 age group which has no playoffs. I think people are electing to go elsewhere for a lot less plus playoffs.

Yeah, didn't notice there were not any playoffs for Surf. Looks like Nomads has a good turnout

Yeah, getting in front of college coaches is probably not a high priority yet for most '02 players/teams. And I doubt there are many college coaches looking at '02 players beyond a passing glance. The tournament is definitely too expense for '02 teams. Comes to about $500 per game.
