Socal league and CSL ?

Looking at the best competition. Whats the main difference between Socal and CSL ?

There's no comparison, Socal has more teams, stronger teams, and a broader range of competition. CSL is on life support after having lost most of its teams to Socal earlier this year: few teams, terrible competition, terrible fields, etc.

Socal is doing to CSL what CSL did to most other Southern California playing leagues 30 or so years ago. Only Presidio escaped CSL's grasp (mostly), but now even Presidio is fading.

Just finished our last CSL league. Daughter off to college, so no horse in the race anymore. I'll agree on life support, and few teams. There are still some good teams that can beat some of the better Discovery Teams, plus all our games were at Great Park, so wouldn't call that terrible fields. This past fall they were in great shape, also replaced the keeper area during the same season to keep it fresh. ECNL is still the best competition on the girls side, not sure if MLS Next or ECNL is better for the boys.
