If you are playing MLS next with one team and want to change to another MLS next team, When can you tryout without needing permission or release from your existing club ? Is it when the MLS cup/showcase is completed that season is considered over and the player is no longer considered to be any particular club ? or do you need permission/release no matter what .. ?

They never told us if we are... so assuming we are not ? any way to find out ?

The list changes and isn't published publicly. If an MLS team wants you, they call the office and check...
