Solar is in TX, they only have 2 teams pulling talent. Blues are CA where there clubs everywhere. You need to look at numbers in connection to environment. Also, where is Surf on this list?
I call it a right place, right time goal. Fun seeing such young players battling.I agree. Defense wins championships. At the World Cup level you see small teams and big teams playing defensively. Teams like Iran did it to Argentina and others. Italy won several championships mostly playing a defensive tactic.
That video shows how lucky the player got to score that goal. It’s not pretty soccer but it works.
Surf 5 Blues 0Blues vs. Surf this week. Most of us have these as the top 2 teams in the age group so it should be a fun one. Any video that can be posted will be much appreciated. Here's how I see this going.
Blues- Have been at the top since the beginning four years ago. Usually the most talented team when they take the field, but when they have gone up against opponents equally as talented they usually found a way. Rarely could a team match their toughness (physical and mental), athleticism, and physicality.
Surf- Most impressive team this year and it's not close. Won Surf Cup and Albion Cup, combined 16-0 score line in two league games so far. It seems that there are no chemistry issues with the girls coming together from different teams.
Prediction- We know what the Surf are. This all comes down to the Blues. In a tough matchup can they raise their game like they've done in years past? My guess is "no". For whatever reason this is a different team: Surf 3-0 Blues.
i think it’s really a wash at this point. As an individual I wanted us to enter, this I made my pitch to our team when it was asked since it’s our last year as President’s cup and it’ll be national cup next year.I guess Cali Teams are use to playing in Arizona, but playing in Lancaster can be somewhat of an upgrade
