Double Rostering?

Curious about the different rules between CSL and SCDSL. Is a team allowed to have the same girl or girls on two different rosters? For instance the same girls on a 2005 team roster with one number and also on a 2006 team roster with a different number?

A player can play on another team the same age group or up a year for the same club. If a field player (Ie- not a goalie) she/he can only play 1 league games per day. Keepers can play 2 games per day as long as the 2nd game is only as a goalkeeper.

As far as CSL, player cannot be rostered in 2 different teams and must be enrolled in the loan program in order to guest for a team (in the same club of course) that is either in an older age group or higher bracket if of the same age. No “lateral” guesting in CSL. Also, in your example, if a 2006 player is rostered on a 2005 team won’t be able to guest “down” with a 2006 team.

Strongly advise against double rostering.

The club near us that does it has a reputation as an injury factory. Bring in the goats, put them on 2 or 3 teams, win some games, and watch the ACL snap in u12 or u13.

Recovery time is important. Dont skip it.

Just because a player appears on both rosters, it doesn’t mean they necessarily play on both teams every week. It’s easier to have them profiled on the game printout than it is to hand write it on 3 copies before the game.

Thanks everyone! This was an SCDSL team and some of our girls mentioned that they had seen a player or two playing on the older team as well. We were just curious about the stance on it.
