Did you see how they reformatted the GA league for Vegas? That’s a lot of flights!

No unless the parents what to play to travel for out of state regular league games.

Regional leagues are meant to be for local play unless there is not enough local competitive geographical teams to play with.

Out of state play is on the divisional or national levels.

The only valid reason is to clear way to add more SoCal teams this season or next. They should have kept Las Vegas teams until they find new teams to add.
