CSPA NATIONAL SHOWCASE TEAMS PROGRAM ANNOUNCED!

Cal State Prep Academy National Showcase Teams program was created to allow young west coast soccers players the true abilty to obtain national exposure. CSPA National Showcase Program consists of Boys and Girls U19 and U16 Teams. These elite-level teams will compete in the best showcases throughout the Midwest, South and East Coast. Events that we will participate in consist of the IMG showcase (FL) and the Dallas Cup (TX), plus other top 10 showcases.
Cal State Prep Academy National Showcase Teams are also committed to giving the youth soccer player the most complete college and professional-like experience possible. While attending selected Top 10 National Showcases our teams will be traveling together, from leaving the West Coast by flight, to chartered transportation, residing and building lifelong friendships with each other.
Our National Showcase Teams will truly be an experience that will provide for lifelong memories along with the plus of gaining unprecedented exposure throughout the nation.
CSPA National Showcase Team tryouts will take place in the following regions of California, Nor-Cal, So-Cal (LA), So-Cal (SD), Sac Region, Central Cal and Central Coast. As an UPSL Academy a players participation In the CSPA National Showcase Teams program will not effect their current USSF club involvement and is meant to be an elite exspoure and competition suppliment. From these tryouts, roster spots will be filled. Any soccer player born 2003 - 2008 may try out.

Saturday, December 4th - Bay Area Try-out: Crocker Amazon Soccer Fields, San Francisco 6pm-9pm

Sunday, December 5th - Sacramento Area Try-out: Stone Creek Soccer Complex, Rancho Cordova 3pm-6pm

Saturday, December 11th - LA Area Try-out: Orange County Great Park, Irvine 3pm-6pm

Sunday, December 12th - San Diego Area Try-out: 4S Ranch Sports Park, San Diego 3pm-6pm

Saturday, December 18th - Central Coast Try-out: Location/Time TBA

Sunday, December 19th - Central California Try-out: Rafer Johnson Soccer Field. Kingsburg 3pm-6pm

Couple of questions-
1. How does this impact HS eligibility? December is the beginning of HS soccer in So Cal.
2. Who will be coaching?
3. What is the cost to tryout? What is the cost to be on the team? How is travel handled?
4. What is the history of this program? I looked at the link and I couldn't tell.
 
I'm just trying to figure out how Irvine is considered "L.A. Area"...But there is the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim within the same area so....

Hello, we appreciate your questions and hope this helps. HS rules regarding this are found in Article 60 regarding outside competition and play in contest. A Tryout/Training Session is not considered a contest by precedent must be an organized match to be breaking rules.
This program will run From Mid Feb 22’ to end of Summer and will travel to 4 top level showcases. Showcase teams will have trainings at Showcase locations prior to Games.
Coaching Staff will consist of are Directors that currently work with our Full-Day Academy and UPSL 1st team and Player Pool. Each of our Directors have over 20 years coach experience and hold at the least a USSF D level license. Our entire staff has college, High School and Elite Club level experience with Central California clubs such as California Odyssey among others.
Tryout cost is $20. Once a player is offered a position on a roster fees will apply. Fees will consist of Gear Kit cost and individual tournaments fees that will include all travel and competition expenses. Registration and Gear kit fee will be $385 and each tournament fee will vary from $1,000 to $1,500 depended on cost. Complete Programs total cost will range from $4,500-$6,000. All travel from flight to and flight returning will be handled by our Scheduling coordinator. In my time this is the best way, to work with each entity instead of use travel agents. Holds interest accountable.
Other then that the History of our program more lays in the history of our Board of Directors. This is our second non profit venture with a prior community award winning competitive soccer club geared to serving low income households being our first. That club had achievements such as NorCal Premier State Cup championships among others. Now at Cal State Prep, which commenced this year, we have dedicated this venture to getting the maximum exposure for young soccer players that don’t have the ability too or know how. We work with each of our players to help build their ability on the field. But also allow for the true opportunity to be seen nationally and provide the understand on how to capitalize on the exposure with our specific recruitment techniques.
