G2010...How is the 2021 season going?

Spoiler alert: Blues does not play kickball anymore and has AR teaching possession. RR and TB were about the win, no matter what. Bakers, well we all know about their teaching of the game. My guess is Luis is obeying the rules and that is all one can ask. He can;t speak, mussel over his mouth so to speak. I will give you my reasons why the loss to Ole. I am also assuming Luis is still on the team so take this with a grain of salt. AR is all about what Deza is preaching down South. At the youngers, you have to throw out bad habits, even in big games. He took over the Gaffer and is now teaching the game right. Did Ole play Kickball?
You were there no ?

No, just taking a guess. Ole beating Blues is big time news and I'm super stoked for them.

from what I heard. Yes Ole played kick ball and parked the bus. Playing a counter attack game and not what they are used to doing with possession. They tried the same with Eagles and it did not work out.

Not sure why parking the bus and countering is looked at like it’s a bad thing. It’s a great strategy when you don’t have the same talent as your opponent. And it takes a lot of mental toughness to play defense for 50 minutes and pick the right times to go forward. There’s no way they win that game if it’s wide open. Sounds like Ole had a plan and worked it to perfection.
congrats to Eagles for taking home the hardware.

In the premier league this last week, Arsenal parked the bus against Chelsea and it worked. Lester did the same against Chelsea.

In youth soccer, If you are up by a goal and there’s less than 20 minutes left in a meaningful game, playing defense is very normal.

Just win baby!!! When it comes down to elimination games, you need to figure out how to WIN at, Soccer, Soccer, Soccer, Soccer!!!! Great job Eagles :)

Just seems some teams are Salty about losing, taking credit away from kids!! If you’re the best team, you should not be outplayed, lose or have excuses not winning a water down State Cup version... keep underestimating Olé, they have some good players there..

Boy are you right about that. It is actually pretty easy until you run into high pressure and then parents start asking why we are playing that way. Becoming a mature team takes time, and it doesn’t happen overnight. You are going to lose a few games along the way, but for the end result of winning the last game of the year, which is usually a national championship.
Even harder to commit to on the small 9v9 fields, but critical to progress as a team....

@crush

The real question not being asked is whats the back story here?

The loss has nothing to do with style of play it has everything to do with players who left and why.

People at slammers PA saying they picked up players from this team. Also missing key players for that game. When #6 and #10 are not there then it’s trouble.

Where's Luis is a back story, no? PM me the back story bro. It probably has to do with a little of this and that or some of this and that and when that happens, they all left? Fact blamed me when 5 left the last time. I tell ya, no respect :)

I think they found him soccer parent fc on iG lol
It's unfortunate as I'm sure there are two sides to every story but if Luis is really running that page on Instagram, he didn't even really try to mask some of the jabs taken at Ole as a team / players. If one were to assume it's him, looking back at olders posts there are also shots fired at individuals on his daughter's own team at one point or another. A few of those "Meme" page have done a good job of keeping things vanilla and not blending in references to their own team / coach / players, but I supposed the "anonymity" of it all could entice one to just let loose on anything and everyone...

I think there can be some heat and lively discussion but some of that wasn't in jest, but rather poor taste. Blues is a club that has frowned on their parents posting on this forum as a general rule to avoid drama / issues, and it looks like Luis really ramped up his IG activity to "vent".

My advice is to take a step back and realize sooner rather than later that this journey belongs to your children and you can be protective without being overbearing and making it about you. I've have had my share of missteps along the way, and had posters on this and the older forum give me the same advice at one point or another.
