G2010...how’s the season going 2019?

Did anyone actually see the surf vs Blues game. @Sockers858 just curious to know if Blues put their best lime up against them. I’m perplexed on how we easily went through surf and had a much harder time with Blues. And the fact that Surf is able to compete much better against them. They must be doing something we weren’t as I don’t think Surf has near the defense we do. The ease in which our strikers scored on them leads me to this conclusion. Weird. Or could it be more of a mental thing for some of our girls. Not sure. Really I was expecting a much tighter game against Surf and better competition against Blues

They didn't need to win that game to go through and RR knew it. In a tournament, when winning doesnt matter, RR doesn't play to win, and when winning matters, he does. It's really that simple.

Dear @Luis Andres the Gaffer Rob R is the best coach for these age groups and each team he has plays different because he coaches them to play in the system that fits for there skill level and speed. Football is a simple game at 2010s. Twenty Girls chase a ball for 50 minutes and at the end, the SC Blues always win.

No doubt Hodari. There is nothing wrong with direct ball soccer and as you can see it’s a system used by the top European teams in the world. They have proven time and time again that it is effective and it works. Unfortunately it only works with the right fit of players requiring physical and fast athletes. We cannot adopt a system like that on our team because our girls aren’t all athletes. I know people talk bad and say it’s just kick ball but there is a lot more to it and a strategy behind it too. It may not be pretty but it has proven to be the most effective way to win games. There is a reason why the Blues develop top teams because your coach understands the system well and it requires the recruitment of top athletes. Anyone that says that it’s not development is a fool. Because at the end of the day we can look at a country like Germany and how can we say they are not developing players. they are prob the best soccer nation of Europe and maybe the world. Next to Brasil. Possession soccer is for the smaller teams that don’t have the athletes and has proven the system for those types of teams to be able to compete against the bigger athletic teams. Both systems work and have their pros and cons. You should adopt the right system based on the type of players you posses.

Like I said every team he has plays different the Gaffers 2011s play a beautiful style Skillful, Crafty, Cautious more Italian
Style of Play: The Italian style is very cautious with the amount of players that they like to commit forward in an attack. Players use skills and different tempos in an attack.

Forwards also tend to make diagonal, indirect runs which are difficult for defenders to anticipate and to keep in check.

Defenders like to slow down the tempo of a game and flood their side of the field with defenders to pressure and slow down opposition attacks.

The 2012s play a total football
Total football is a tactical theory in football in which any outfield player can take over the role of any other player in a team. ... In Total Football, a player who moves out of his position is replaced by another from his team, thus retaining the team's intended organisational structure.

That's great and looks like you have a really good coach that understands what type of soccer system to use based on the types of players that he possesses. May not be a bad idea to expose your kids to different styles of soccer so they become well rounded players that know how to play different ways depending on the type of team that they are in. Your coach is great and anybody that talks bad about him does not really understand the game of futbol. Great organization and much respect to you guys.

@Hodari knowing this about your coach has changed my original opinion of what I thought about the Blues. It was a great experience for our girls and an eye opener for me to see what their teams are made off and how they defend and make crosses and runs towards the box. We are going to stay with Ole for next season but after that I’m open for her to learn direct ball soccer system as well. I think it will only make her stock as a player more valuable when scouts or recruiters have learn that she can play different styles of soccer as well making her more adaptable to any type of team in the future.

Ole vs Blues Finals highlights. Taken from the perspective of my DD wearing soloshot bot camera. So it's basically a highlight reel of Blues attacking and Ole defending since she ended playing most of the game at the center back position. I tried to capture al the dangerous plays by the Blues and of course the goals. Watch the video and you be the judge. Maybe then you can then understand.

Blues came out strong to the today. We gave up an early penalty and that forced my DD to play CB for 90% of the game after 5 minutes of center mid. Ole had opportunities to score but Blues had more. She usually is running the offense and creating the passes to make the plays but without her in the offense it was a harder task today. Congratulations to the SC Blues you deserved the championship and the win. You all played solid today... @Hodari DD playing in the second half...She is so fast for a 2012

@Luis Andres I don’t think your Ole team is on the same level as this Legends Team. For one, you won’t hear the parents talking crap about their daughter’s teammates... which is horrible I might add. For two, as I look on the State Cup 2019 website, this Legend Team finished Final Four and also beat one of the top 3 teams this season in the age bracket, something Ole didn’t do. I believe Ole has a long way to go, I’m hoping you don’t get too prideful about the early success of your daughter... life has a funny way of humbling us..

This game is a wrap. Congratulate SC Blues for their strong performance. I'll just say the game started with an early penalty after a few min in favor of Blues. Made a few girls choke. It's a wrap. Aside from that I'm not saying anything else, downhill from there. My DD did her job that's all i can say

I just signed up for this forum, but I have been off and on reading the threads re: “What Happened to THE Luis Andres” and “G2010 season” after sadly hearing from several people about his commentary here. As much as I wanted to avoid address Andres on this forum, it is finally necessary. I am a mom on the team who doesn’t need a secret aka name to disguise my identity.

Andres, you and I have had our exchanges since 2018 especially on how you handle things with your off the field antics. Although I’m sure the viewers rate would sky rocket if I listed all of the incidents/details, I won’t draw more negative attention to our team. You apologized, but continue to do what you do which has led you not being allowed on the field anymore and having to watch the games being recorded. You continue to be an embarrassment to our team. You come on this forum to critique our coach and players. While we are privileged to live in a country with freedom of speech and that is your right, it doesn’t make what you say right. Maybe I haven't been on here enough, but I have noticed you are the only one who calls out players and places blames. For example, you recently blamed our player who was out for 1.5 months for our loss against the Eagles or saying that our girls choked during the PKs against the Eagles is WRONG! You blaming our last defenders against the Blues (before you edited this post) is WRONG! You have said one to many times on his form that our girls “choked”. Do you even know the meaning of choking? Choking is when you do the same thing over and over again to almost perfection, all day every day, but when it comes to pressure, you break mentality. Professional players choke. These are 8-9 girls you are talking about. We win as a team and lose as a team. Making mistakes is part of the learning process. How about you simply give credit to the other teams versus blaming subs, defenders, our goalie? You honestly don’t get it and I know I’m wasting my time addressing you, but bottom-line I want all the members on this forum to know that no one on our team respects Andres’ and his way of thinking. Our girls work too hard (and so do our parents) to get a bad reputation because of one bad seed. Our parents respect our coach and support the team win or lose. Blaming doesn’t accomplish anything other than being cancerous to the team.

Is #8 on Blues a 2012 playing up?

I hear what you’re saying. Do you know how many parents think it, but don’t say it. Parents to some degree are guilty of placing blame. If you don’t, more power to you. We need the Evelyns of the world to remind us, that they are 9. It’s easy to get caught up in the competitive nature of all things competitive.

Can you post highlights of your game against SD Surf?

Absolutely parents think it. There's a difference between thinking it and saying things out loud in front of kids or on a forum.
