Girls 04 DA

So 04 DA is first year for all these girls, correct? Mine is an 05 and it has been mentioned to us that she should go to the DA tryouts.

Early thoughts from all of you?

Everyone's case is different. My DD loves it this far. Her commute to practice has been reduced by 50%, she was already training 4 days a week but had more flexibility with scheduling on 2 of those days. She's driven to work hard because she knows that playing time is at a premium. It is still very early and things could change, but she is more dedicat d today then I've seen her in the past 2 years.

My advice......Go and watch a few games and if possible some training sesssions for the DA club you are considering. The younger DA age groups actually provide the best opportunity to try the program with the least amount of outside sacrifice (i.e. HS sports).
Most importantly, talk with your DD....make sure it's a fit for her as well. Those who aren't truly committed and aren't 100% dedicated are finding it hard to see playing time.

Attend some local games. You can see how the coach coaches, how the players respond to him/her, how they sub, and most importantly how they are learning to play soccer.
