Does anyone have experience or thoughts on being invited to participate in the US Soccer YNT Identification Center program? Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.

US Soccer YNT ID Center (Training Center) experience in NorCal:

1st 2 years my daughter was involved it was run by primarily by local college coaches (UC Davis, CAL, St. Mary's, etc..). Larger group of players from entire NorCal and the location would rotate throughout the area (Sac, Bay Area, etc). GK's and Field players would have separate sessions then they would have some type of scrimmage in the 2nd half of the training.

Last year or so it changed. It is now ran by YNT coaches and scouts. The number of invitees went way down as well. No "position training" they usually did a warmup and then played a game. The last 3 games were against boy DA teams (SJ Quakes DA, Ballistics DA, Silicon Valley DA, etc..).

The talent and game play was good, wasn't the "best" players in NorCal (some non-DA girls left off the list; the ratio of Non-DA to DA was a little too lopsided for NorCal) but all the girls there were solid. It is nice to get to know other players and parents from opposing clubs. NorCal has PDP which also allows you to train outside your club with other players.
