70 teams registered for national cup. Who will win it all? Who will be the surprise teams making the round of 32. I'm thinking Boca LA has a strong chance at winning it all.

Strikers South Coast, Oxnard, Santa Barbara, SDSC, TFA,.... interesting thing is going to those top teams that aren't going to play national cup because of NPL.

I think that it will be interesting to see if the CRL teams that got the round 1 bye's can make good and advance. Looking at the seasons of some of the CRL teams, it is unlikely that they advance any further.

I'm thinking Boca will win this year. Oxnard is always good but they're constantly shuffling kids in and out between the end of regular season and National Cup and IMO, it disrupts the chemistry of the team. From what I heard, another ODP player from TFA went there during the window. That team is ridiculously stacked.

I think that half of those teams that had a bye will not make it past the round of 32.

I heard last night at practice that a number of top teams aren't going to be at National Cup due to NPL. Names I heard included Strikers South Coast (didn't know they were NPL, maybe this is wrong) and Colton America.

TFA, Oxnard, Colton are playing NC:
    First round:

    2nd:
    https://cysa.affinitysoccer.com/tou...mentguid=79606225-46F4-49EA-B288-87778F984824

The Strikers 3rd team (BA) is the one in the nplwest not playing NC. Some
others Strikers teams in the NC but not the top 2 from Discovery. One of them doesnt appear to be still playing and the other is in national league scnpl with Oxnard, TFA, Colton.

One of the main Irvine Strikers Coaches, RC has somethings he doesn't like about Cal South so that's why his olders teams are not in CRL or NC either in most cases from what I heard from parents that have kids involved.

No offense but maybe 4 top teams are on this list and the rest are top 50.

National Cup looks to me like it's stronger competition than most of the teams above. Wondering what is their YS ranking for legends, Apple valley, Santa Monica and Celtic.

No offense to you too. But since you going by soccer rankings, let’s asked you a question, is Pats PYL BO3 still your team? and it is yes. How high Pats PYL O3 ranked On Gotsoccer.com, and youth soccer.com.

It is common knowledge that there really is no comparison between gotsoccer and YSL. YSL is far more accurate. This subject has been discussed ad nauseum on the forum.

Well since you asked re: SCNPL and YSR

    Strikers #3
    Oxnard #5
    TFA #7
    Colton #10
    Santa Monica #12
    Heat #2 (Nevada)
    Oceanside #15
    Celtic #20
    AVSC #29
    Downtown #34
    Legends #91

Hard pressed to put together a more difficult group of 11 teams.

    Probably more competitive than CRL.

Valid point, we are only ranked 41 but we started at 100 a year ago (only 3 year team). During the last 6 months we won: PSSLU summer league, we finished 1st in Flight 1 Europa, and finished 1st in SCDSL Playoffs beating a Discovery team. We are not a top 20 team but I think that we have a chance to make it to the next round.

I have not clue about GotSoccer and TBH, we dont have funds to do more than 2 tournaments a year. I didn't mean to insult any teams.

My point is that of the SCNPL teams above, it appears that 4 or 5 are also playing National Cup. So once you factor this in, why should think that SCNPL is better than National Cup this year.

Good summary, but shouldn't we also add Colton, Celtic, Oxnard, and TFA to the National Cup? so basically it's 7 top 20 for NPL and 10 of top 20 for National Cup.

good point, what is also interesting, are there any other top 20-30 teams that are not represented in CRL or NPL who are in National Cup. No time now to look but there probably are a few dark horses..

    Get your facts straight
Nobody was comparing national Cup and national premier league about who is better. You is the one who came on here an started this, this what you saids.

No offense but maybe 4 top teams are on this list and the rest are top 50.

National Cup looks to me like it's stronger competition than most of the teams above. Wondering what is their YS ranking for legends, Apple valley, Santa Monica and Celtic. Isn’t that you saids.? Anyway I finished.

Youth soccer.Com, have the Same teams ranked 1 and 2, both team is the same team.

LA UNITED FA BOCA JUNIOR AND BOCA JUNIOR LOS ANGELES PREMIERE BOTH IS THE SAME TEAM.
    That a big error,

plus did you all knew I was the first person to ever to posted youth soccer rankings.Com, on this forum. Ways before this new forum started.

Competition should be fun & competitive the rankings, league, tournments are all different but cal south is not doing themselves any favors by basically selling first round byes via CRL for national cup.

The defending champs, TFA are in round 1 and without a bye for example due to CRL bias
