Nothing like seeing a bunch of 2nd and 3rd string teams from clubs battle it out for National Cup.

Legends IE ranked higher than all DA teams. Topped ranked in state. Pretty sure a lot of these girls will do just fine in college.

A lot of the teams are there because they have to be due to the flight they are in.

I remember the first year my daughter's team went to National Cup. We just wanted them to compete and do their best. They ended up making it out of group play and had some really solid games. They made some "better" teams look bad and clearly had more heart than some of the teams that had more success in the past.

Some of the so called "2nd and 3rd string teams " will make it farther than some of the "better" ones. It is one of the things I like about the competition. Everyone loves an underdog!!

Does YSR have a “Strenghth of Schedule” algorithm or does it go strictly by W/L/T?

Where can I find that ranking site? I checked YSR but there are no DA teams ranked for GU16
They are listed as DPL, since the ‘03 Pure teams were technically PILOT programs for the SW and Frontier divisions only.

Lol. Rankings. So the Legends third team that is in National Cup is better than the first 2 teams at the club? I’d love to get Kevin’s take on that.

Maybe you should just stick to watching Champions League and leave the scrub teams for the rest of us to take interest in.

Do quarter-finalist get a first round bye the following year? That seems like a stretch.[/QUOTE
That's interesting. I looks like Downtown SC is in CRL but not National Cup.

Since Downtown SC isn’t competing in National Cup maybe that was the next best way to round out the 16 teams that get a first round bye ? I don’t know - Just a guess.

Any word on when they will finally post the schedule?

Nice comment. You must lead a full life.

But, honestly, Navy, Hawks, IE Surf/Legends, and CV/GPS can all play with almost anyone. Look up the ECNL teams' records against these clubs. It is not good at all. The few times Academy teams have played these clubs, again, not good. IE Surf/Legends beat LA Premier's Academy team and tied Albion. I realize these are not the top level teams, but Albion was solid.
