2018 USYS Cal South National Cup Olders - Boys 2003/15U

PatsLA never had a chance. Like I said for whatever reason SB fell off. But it wasn't because PatsLA is a good team, it was an internal demise.

Anyway CSL Premier shows why they are head and shoulders above SCDL.

Now I'm gonna speak on a real issue here which many parents here care less about or know nothing about.

This soccer thing "club soccer" is about individual development. But many parents here are caught up with team results.

I can tell you that I can take my boy to any team, club DA whatever the fuck and can guarantee making the team, because he has. I have concentrated on technical, vision, and tactical skills since day one. I will tell you that many parents here are afraid to take their boy's to these full funded teams because of that very fact, deep down they know they just don't have it. They rather go on cheering for meaningless results and Facebook's Likes instead of accepting reality.

A few of of the parents that attended Said TFA destroyed Pats (they said game very off set, not legit)
Laufa and Fullerton tied, Fullerton lost on pk’s. (Game very good & have not seen a team shut down laufa like Fullerton, very legit)

Anyone there that can tells us more?

So then for sure you didn’t watch the Laguna VS Laufa game bc they only have one shot all second half against them.
Even though Laguna had all their 2 starting forwards hurt and did not play.

Laguna vs LAUFA was a great game. Could have gone either way. Laguna wasn't able to convert on sevaral breakaways against LAUFA. And hit the crossbar twice in the 2nd half. Referees at this stage are still not up to par... which results in various injuries and less than expected team results. But winning or losing 1-0 doesn't mean anything at this level. Sometimes it's just luck...
That is part of soccer.

Congrats LAUFA. And good luck in finals

LAUFA and TFA both came from the same Round 2 bracket.... Interesting how they looped back and ended up in the Finals. It's too too bad Slammers Vargas had so many severe injuries during this Tourney (6 starters knocked out + 1 from HS injury). They manhandled the Rangers twice (when healthy) in the last couple months...
Good luck to TFA n LAUFA in the Finals.

So I was there at Pats - TFA game. First 20 minutes ball was in TFA's, half. Pats had 3 legit chances; one ball was tipped just over goal, one chance fwd, juked goalie but ran out of space and angle shot was side net, last chance was a scuffed shot from goal box. After first 20 it was back and forth. TFA did get in a few crosses but were defended, they had 4 corners defended. Pats had same amount defended. 0-0 half.

2nd half started back and forth. TFA broke thru on a goalie/defender mistake, he slapped away a shot to his right, our defender did'nt clear ball, and TFA followed up. 10 minutes into half. Pats tried to counter, and had several corners defended. Then a really weak PK call, that TFA coach said should not have been called was granted. 2-0 13 minutes left.

It was not even close to a wipe out. We lost last year to them in almost same manner, tied 0-0 at half. One mistake and a weak PK. As I said before TFA kids are relentless, they beat us to ball in 2nd half, where some of our kids let off. That was difference. Thats experience and grit, that is TFA.

What I like about TFA is they have technical players that run a system and while they have some big physical players they don’t rely on that. Great win !

Yep! No question the competition top to bottom is better.

Next year should be interesting as lots of the DA kids that played for SCDSL clubs will play a year in the SCDSL as the 02/03 age groupings combine
To be honest I don't see p4p DA teams competing with top 5 CSL Premier.

Where will the remainder of Galaxy Academy be playing next season?

I heard the game could have gone either way from a couple of TFA parents. You guys also had 3 more games played than any other team in the final 4, which can take a toll on these boys. Good Luck Pats, you guys will be back.
