2018 USYS Cal South National Cup Olders - Boys 2003/15U

A: Oxnard, Laguna
B: LAUFA, TFA
C: Fullerton, TFA-SD
D: FCLA, Pats LA-SCV
E: FRAM, Valley United
F: SD Navy, Colton
G: Pats LA, Downtown
H: Santa Barbara, CYSA

Oxnard has had a chink in their armor - couple losses and a draw in past few games. Big game for them next week Vs a top Laguna team

Oops, my bad. How did the game go with Fullerton? Did Fullerton take the lead early and dominate, or did it go back and forth? How did the scoring go?

A-
Laguna Oxnard game is key to have the easier route to the semis

B-
LAUFA looked big and athletic- my dark horse. Vargas team not looking the same as they did during league

C-
Rangers peaking at the right time

D- Pats LA SCV very good up top

E- Valley is the class of the group, can FRAM show up after a surprising loss

F- Navy is a top team that can go deep when they play consistent

G- Pats LA late adds makes them a quality team- very dangerous deadball team, Downtown plays hard but lack of discipline with red cards -derails them almost every game

H- Santa Barbara is my favorite to will the whole thing, CYSA is a quality team

Winners of groups A-D have the tougher road to the final 4

I'm picking SB vs. LAUFA for the final with SB taking it all...allowing LAUFA to go to Regionals as well since SB already clinched the CRL.

Fullerton scored a goal early game then Tfa SD scored but Fullerton scored 2 goals right before half at 3-1. Then TFA-SD scored to make it 3-2 where it was getting close but Fullerton was dropping back so they couldn’t score. They scored 2 goals off counterattack’s to make it 5-2. Overall Fullerton a strong , fast and aggressive team.

What happend to Slammers Vargas?Season was good, did they get new big boys and assuming he got rid of his other season boys because I don’t see them anymore? TFA dominated them and lots of yelling from coaches (Battle of the yelling). They better drink honey with lemon for next weekend.

Is it true Celtics lost many players and are in recovery mode last season.
Coachella look very good, they may the surprise for all?

Colton lost players as well and in development mode.

I Heard Rangers started from scratch with all new players and they are looking good so far (TFA SD great sportsmanship for what you said).

My pics are Santa Barbara over Laufa or Coachella. (I kinda agree with Galaxydad).

Who knows at this age, players just have to show up! No surprise there....cannot blame ref’s....

If SB wins, then it’s FRAM (2nd in CRL) that goes to regionals

You're totally correct on this. I forgot that CRL gets the 2nd spot. I remember last year when Slammers finished 1st and Oxnard finished 2nd in CRL, before TFA upset the Slammers in the Semis, it looked like the final was going to be between those two and the winner wouldn't have mattered (except for bragging rights) because both would have gone to Seattle.
