November Nights, Surf Cup or Silverlakes - Roll Call

SILVER ELITE
Now that Surf Cup put out their team list, are any teams doing November Nights or Silverlakes during Thanksgiving, if they didn't make the cut for Surf? It going to be interesting since I have heard some of the usual suspects that do Surf will be doing Silverlakes. Wonder where the college coaches will be??

is lagalaxy sd elite gu16 playing in both the november nights & surf cup tourney?

they are on both entry lists.

LAGSD Gu18 played in both last year and will play in both this year. GU16 is playing in both this year. Kind of crazy and makes for tired players by the end, but is good exposure.

F1....in theory they could play in both....i bet if you look at their schedules they play in the AM for Surf and PM or evening for NN....
Yeah, there is 1 game that has a few hours at most, iirc / earlier scheduling....not sure if it has changed to accommodate.

as Outside stated, great exposure, especially since the 2 tourneys / fields played @ are so close to each other.

Thanks for your guy's/gal's input :)

If they are doing anything more than handing out resumes, it looks like a dumb idea.

That is crazy! Never good for them to play more then one game in a day. Especially if they are trying to impress coaches.

While I agree that it isn't ideal, you don't turn down a slot at Surf and they had to support their own club's showcase. The girls did fine. They played well, connecting many passes and playing nice soccer. They tied one game and won the rest. For Surf, the team added some guest players from within the club so that they could get some exposure. Most of the committed players sat at least one game. I will admit, everyone was relieved that Sunday's Surf game was cancelled.

I hear you. Supporting the home club is important. I always tried to weigh the pros and cons and I always erred on the side of protecting my player. There are plenty of hard days ahead as most conferences do Friday/Sunday games during the college season. At U18 your players are basically there and are most likely playing 90 minute games. Most likely the coach is rotating the lineup but I'd imagine the best players are playing heavy minutes (my player only sat out one ECNL showcase game ever and). Just a suggestion. There are many roads to Shangri-La I am just making suggestions that worked for my player.

Good luck to your daughter and her team.

You said they tied one and won the rest. Was that at Surf Cup?
