Cerritos Memorial Cup 2018

Flight 1

Group A
  • CDA Slammers Cerritos - Segovia
  • Freedom FC - Green
  • Beach FC - DPL
  • Southwest SC Elite
Beach FC - DPL looks to be the group favorite, with a surprisingly tough SWSC right behind them. Plus you can always count on Luis and his girls to bring it.

Group B
  • Slammers FC CB / AW
  • CDA Slammers Whittier - Alvarez
  • Culver City FC
  • Arsenal FC - ECNL
Arsenal put up some good numbers at CRL Play-In, while Alvarez's girls made a deep run to end last season at State Cup. Slammers will be shifting a lot of players and team's around as DA / ECNL teams are formed and they put together their SCDSL Flight 1 squad as well.

Group C
  • Beach FC - SB - Pineda
  • SD Real Madrid - Elite
  • CDA Slammers Whittier - Carroll
  • Slammers FC - ECNL
Slammers ECNL needs to win this group, even with 2 CRL qualifiers they're up against.

Group D
  • Beach FC - Hansen
  • CDA Slammers Cerritos - McCray
  • Slammers FC - 06 ECNL
  • Tudela FC - LA
Tudela is a decent squad, but keep your eyes on the 06s who turned some heads in EGSL play.


I would look to Beach - DPL, Arsenal and Slammers ECNL squads to be the favorites in this one, but each group and the whole Flight in general is very competitive. Best of luck everyone!
 
Group Winners if the groupings don't change:

Group A
Gotta go with Segovia. Heard he retained most of his team from last year.

Group B
If that is actually CB/AW team headed for DA and prepping for Far West then watch out.

Group C
Think this group is up in the air. Even with the Slammers ECNL team don't think they are clear winners.

Group D
Beach Hansen play good soccer. Most don't know about his team. He does more with far less. But I think Tudela take this group.

Clicking on the GotSoccer tournament pages and looking at the record and coach shows OC Surf DA to be the team formerly knows as West Coast Pre-DA. I'll co-sign with you that they and Albion DA are the favorites for the 2018 Legends Classic, but there's a lot of games to be played.

For Cerritos Memorial Cup, I can never keep up with the Slammers names. But if that's the 2018 National Cup winners the they'll almost certainly come away with the Cup as there's no one there that can seriously challenge them.

Should be two good tournaments - good luck to all the DDs involved!

Agreed at Cerritos Slammers Elite/DA are head and shoulders among the rest. It is a tune-up for this team.

I think at least 3 or 4 girls from the West Coast 05 pre team have moved to other teams. Pats I believe.

Toss up. Blackhawks or SD Force. Blackhawks usually have some athletes out there. SD Force has a good brand of futbol. It will come down to their match up.
