Default Presidio League Cup

Though Presidio is attempting to get better with communication they still are , in my opionion, unclear.

Below is from their website. Here is what I gather. PQT has been eliminated. There will be a concurrent League and Presidio Cup. I think all the teams from the current year Premier and those teams who went to be considered for the next year Premier go to League Cup.

Top 4 finishers from Premier and first place finisher from AAA have Premier entitlements. Otherwise you are judged upon your circuit results and how you played in League Cup.

All other teams go to Presidio Cup.

FAQ's about League Cup -

2. What are the age groups? Youngers - Ages 12 & 13. Olders - Ages 14 to 18.

3. What is the Entry Fee $250 entry fee for those not in Premier.

4. Where are the games going to be played? All games for olders will be at John Branche fields in Temecula. (Southwest Soccer Club).

5. How do I enter? Download Application here and send it in.

9. Can Younger play in both League and Presidio Cup? As it stands right now League and Presidio Cup are scheduled for the same dates for the Youngers. Youngers must decide which tournament to enter.

That's a good question.
The Premier committee plans on allowing the top 2 finishers in the Premier standings the opportunity to "play up" in age for League Cup (at least that's what I've been told for GU15). I would think that they won't be able to post schedules for the various age groups until final standings have been determined. Some of the standings are very close and the top 2-3 teams might not be determined until the last weekend (or game) of the season, which is Nov 5th for some teams. The tournament is scheduled to start on Nov 6th.
I'm sure they will do their best to post schedules as early as possible, but it would seem difficult to make them available before the week of the tournament.

Addendum
FYI- Just found out that it has been decided by the Premier Committee that all teams will play on age in League Cup, with a few exceptions (Premier teams already playing up and accepted U11 teams wanting to play U12). Also, it looks like they will be posting the schedules pretty soon (prelim. schedules this weekend, final schedules by Oct 25th). Teams have received acceptance letters along with a list of accepted teams. Communication from the Presidio Premier Committee has been very good.

Why can't teams play up? Will that hold true for the youngers as well? What if you team has won their bracket for U9-U11 and not been challenged much, and if so, by only 1 other team?

I think Juan is talking primarily about Girls U15 and above since they now combine U16, U17 and U18 teams into Premier Elite, Premier 1 and Premier 2. No one is sure how that will get seeded. Now if you are looking to move up in the youngers, I believe you still can play up a year to show you belong.

I do not think Presidio allows boys teams to play up on age.

There is no team in GU12 Premier that has any basis for trying to play up a year.
