Thats too funny! My son was the tall defender in the back who guarded your son part of the time. I ran into you or your wife briefly at the action photo booth. They had quite a few pictures of both of our kids from the first game going against each other.

Is that going to be his team for Nationals or State? Or was he guesting?

My wife commented on the pictures she saw that day, but it must have been another parent she was with. I never quite made it that far.

Your team had 2 very good defenders I think #17 & #18 both had good size. One of those boys must have been your son?

My son will be playing with this same team in State Cup, Even though he has had other offers over the years he has remained loyal to his teammates. That is a team that I started at U11 and coached for a few years. This year I had the opportunity to have them coached and trained by Preki so I happily turned them over to him and we are starting to see some nice results.

Thanks, and yes #18 is my son. He had the longer wavier brown hair and the other #17 had the spiked hair. Yes it was a good result for your sons team, congrats. They won a lot of 50/50 balls. I was just standing behind your wife commenting on our kids how good they looked with their hair in the action shots. I've never purchased those photos before, but my son took a look at them and wanted them because "his hair was looking good that day". By the way, was that Preki who was your coach in the championship game?

I tried to upload our team picture but it wouldn't take due to size. It it just a normal picture off of my personal digital camera, I would think it should work. Maybe you can give me a tip on how to upload it. I don't know maybe a zip file or something.

Yes that was Preki Coaching our team the entire weekend including the championship game.

Sounds good. Our coach has us down for the Irvine Spring tourney on March 10-11 and the Diamond Bar tourney the next weekend. Might do Vegas at the end of March. Hopefull will have our full team back for these tourneys, with high school kids returning.

It will definetely be interesting for our team, to see how the High School kids fit back into the swing of things having been gone for so long. This is a unique year where some of them go off to HS and the rest stay together. While it is good to get some talent back, hopefully team chemistry will be enhanced not disrupted.
