So how ironic is it that the US has to play in Germany to finally have a real "home" game? We should not have to play near military bases in foreign countries to have that kind of support. When was the last time we heard the crowd singing the national anthem?
That being said, it was so satisfying to hear the crowd at the game. We watched the second half twice, and the second time I could really concentrate on the atmosphere; the chanting and cheering was like nothing I am used to in our games.
And, our guys played. They did not play on Monday. Go Italy--beat the Czechs, and come on US you can beat Ghana.
