Message from Karen Sparks.
TO ALL TEAM ADMINISTRATORS:
2009 Season kicks off this Saturday and Sunday!!! Are you ready??
TO DO LIST:
1. Have all of your laminated Player cards. Administrator/Coaches cards.
2. Update all rosters with JERSEY #s and Cal South Player ID #s
BEFORE match reports are printed. I saw many rosters without the Player ID
#s!!!
3. Print out 3 copies of the match report. Home and Away teams, just to be
safe.
4. U16-U19 carrying 19 or more players, DON”T FORGET TO CROSS OFF
ANY PLAYER OVER THE 18 ALLOWED THAT ARE NOT PLAYING IN A GAME!!
5. Have your referee fees in cash (listed on the match report & in the CSL
Handbook under RULES 2009; or CSL front page/RESOURCES/CSL/RULES
2009)
6. Have your STAMPED CSL addressed MATCH REPORT envelopes, if you
are the HOME team, to give to the referee so they can mail the match reports
to the CSL office. (PREMIER TEAMS will NOT give CSL addressed envelopes to
the referees.) If you don’t have the envelopes, use your own envelope, stamp
it, and address to CSL, 924 E. Chapman Ave., Orange, 92866.
7. Check schedules Friday night to be sure there wasn't a last minute
change!!!
8. Know where you're going! Some new fields were added since the CSL
Handbook was printed, so click on the FIELD on your schedule for directions.
9. Don't forget to report your scores to your Scorekeeper the night of each
game to keep the Standings updated. To find your Scorekeeper, if they haven't
contacted you, go to your STANDINGS page on the CSL front page, scroll to
the bottom of your Bracket Standings page to find the Scorekeeper with email
link (if a Scorekeeper is not listed, that means no one from you bracket has
volunteered, and standings will not be able to be kept unless someone signs
up). (PREMIER TEAMS - Scores are posted at the field, so you will only need to
check the scores online to be sure they are correct and report to the listed
Scorekeeper if there is an error.)
10. A helpful hint from a veteran Administrator: When putting your player
cards on the CSL ring pouch, put them in order of the jersey numbers, rather
than alphabetically, so they will correspond with the order on the match report,
making check in for the referees quicker and more efficient!!
Most of all have a good weekend and enjoy the soccer!!! Thank you for all of
your cooperation in getting ready for the games.
