But I don't miss the dangerous drive, or driving home to San Diego when I'm exhausted. Anybody tried taking Amtrak to Union Station from points south and then taking the Metrolink to Palmdale? Beginning of Dec. will have Santa Ana winds, so it may be a little blustery. Then there's the hotels and how they love to raise their fees. The first game I attended in Lancaster (BU9 State Cup, February 2001) there was a layer of frost on the fields for our 8AM game.
